Meet Rob & Corey
In 2004, after years of experience as an educator in public and private schools and in community settings, Corey Zylstra started Reach OG Learning Centre in North Vancouver. With a goal to provide high-quality intervention to families using the Orton-Gillingham approach and to provide the best support to our Reach interventionists, the centre grew to also provide highly sought-after professional development and certified training in the Orton-Gillingham approach. Reach was the first centre of its kind in Canada.
When the second Reach Learning Centre opened in Langley, BC, in 2010, it became clear that Reach’s success was not due to the demographics of the first location but to the strength of the programs it offered and the supports it provided to staff, to families, and to the community. Corey’s husband Rob Zylstra formally joined the team to provide much needed support to the brand, including managing our publications, websites and supporting our growing team.
In 2016 we granted our first partnership to continue our mission of bringing support to families and teachers across Canada and helping even more kids reach their full potential through a science-based learning approach. We look forward to continuing to grow across Canada.
